Tragic incident: 15 dead from toxic alcohol poisoning, investigation underway

15 people died from alcohol poisoning in Azerbaijan. Americandiary24 reports according to the statement by the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.

Initial measures taken determined that these people died as a result of poisoning from ethyl (technical) alcohol they consumed. The prosecutor's office employees, with the participation of a forensic expert and a criminalist, inspected the crime scenes and bodies, seized material evidence of importance for the case, including empty bottles of a hygiene product containing 75 and 95% alcohol, which is prohibited for ingestion, food residues, etc., and ordered appropriate examinations and carried out other necessary investigative actions.

The preliminary investigation is currently ongoing.
