Heydar Aliyev Center to exhibit Belarusian sculptor`s works (VIDEO)

A new exhibition will be presented at the Heydar Aliyev Center, Americandiary24 reports.
On March 14, the exhibition titled "The mystery of the rose" by Belarusian sculptor Andrey Ostashov will open at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
The exhibition will feature works by the artist, including "Journey to dreams", "The cat-girl and the turtle dance", "The fan and the cherry", "The girl with the heart", "Children of the Sun", "The Indian elephant and the butterflies", which will be shown for the first time to the audience in Baku.
Born in Belarus in 1970, Andrey Ostashov was influenced by the art schools of Belarus, Russia, and Europe in his formation as an artist.
In his works, beauty is essential, and he belongs to the generation of artists who are considered aestheticians-philosophers, now fading away. The sculptor boldly plays with the daily objects and applied arts of the Far East, the images of samurais, Teddy bears, fairy-tale princesses, and shamans.
A member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, Ostashov's works are part of the permanent exhibition of the National Art Museum of Belarus and are kept in private collections in Europe and Asia.
The sculptor’s solo exhibitions have been held in cities such as Monaco, Paris, Beijing, Saint Petersburg, Tbilisi, Shanghai, Vienna, and others.
Ostashov travels extensively around the world, particularly to Asian countries, to collect creative materials. His special interest lies in the inner world of a person. It is no coincidence that the Baku exhibition is titled "The mystery of the rose". This flower combines both external beauty and spiritual depth, inaccessibility and grandeur, power and sensitivity. "The mystery of the rose" is different and unique for everyone. The sculptor invites us to once again embark on this deep and beautiful journey—into our inner world—inviting us to find the meaning of his exhibits and become participants in this process.
