On February 19th, 2025, the United States’ President Donald J. Trump, has cogently and courageously published on his Truth Social Account, a highly accurate observation about Ukraine’s highly corrupt president, a fact that made sleepy Joe stick his head in the sand while pouring many billions of U. S. Dollars into the pockets of Kyiv’s nasty political elite.

The money sent to Ukraine by America’s taxpayers was one of the worst decisions made by the Biden – Harris Administration; over the last three years Biden sent large amounts of money to Zelenskyy without pursuing any sense of accountability. There is no doubt that the War in Ukraine has favored major kickback schemes benefiting Biden’s cronies and Zelenskyy’s ring of useless bureaucrats in Kyiv.

In his highly regarded statement, President Trump notes: “On top of this, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we sent him is “MISSING.” He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden “like a fiddle.” A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left.”  The United States President is absolutely right when calling on the Ukrainian president to act quickly and stop relying on the empty promises made by EU Leadership but rather accept the results of negotiations started by the Trump Administration with Moscow and hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The United States has allocated over USD 350 Billion in concept of aid to Ukraine; meanwhile European countries cumulatively have barely contributed less than USD 100 Billion, even though Brussels is geographically much closer to Ukraine than Washington.

President Trump has repeatedly stated a simple fact that many ignore: “This War is far more important to Europe than it is to us. We have a big, beautiful Ocean as a separation.” Such a simple but important observation the Biden administration failed to grasp and committed a surge of geopolitical errors that - in three years of intensive fighting between Ukraine and Russian Federation - destroyed the post-Cold War framework of Great Power Competition and the state of equilibrium between major Government actors in Eurasia including the Transatlantic alliance.

As the major EU nations are finally waking up to discuss the security matters affecting Europe including how to tackle the war in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine needs to come to grips with the political reality of his nation as President Trump rightfully brands him as a “dictator without elections”.  The killing of over thirteen thousand innocent civilians and casualties of over one million eight hundred thousand soldiers, from both sides are the gruesome consequence of an unnecessary war that would have never happened had President Trump been at the Oval Office in February 2022.

Furthermore, at the Future Investment Initiative Institute in Miami, President Trump stated: “The last administration was the worst and most incompetent in the history of our country, but we are moving quickly to fixing the disaster that Joe Biden Created and make America stronger and more prosperous than ever before.”  As we consider this fact, the War in Ukraine was not the exception; it became an unnecessary war, with Ukraine being promised prompt military assistance by Washington and Brussels; a financial support that was neither adequate nor wisely spent.  International Military and Humanitarian Assistance towards Ukraine has become irrelevant as Kyiv and Moscow are engaged in a war of attrition.

In continuation to his emblematic posting, President Donald J. Trump stated:

“In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only “TRUMP,” and the Trump Administration, can do. Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the “gravy train” going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died –“

Only an extraordinary head of state such as President Trump will bring a lasting and durable peace between Ukraine and Russia; a great leader who is genuinely committed to bring peace in Eastern Europe, as the Transatlantic Partnership is being molded by an era of shifting global threats.

The discussion of principles set off by a meeting of American and Russian officials on last Tuesday February 18th, in Saudi Arabia, is a great start towards promptly solving – through hard diplomatic negotiations – the atrocious Russia – Ukraine War.  The war in Ukraine is a monumental disaster and demonstrates serious vulnerabilities that arise out of modernity and in the last eleven years western liberal democracies have failed to prevent a major Russian military invasion from happening in Ukraine.
